Staff is incredibly rude, unhelpful, and the post office does not follow typical UPS regulations/rules regarding holding packages if they cannot deliver them.

Like everyone else listed below, I found this location terrible. Every time I go to a USPS location, I’m reminded of why I should only use UPS and/or FedEx.

The post office does not answer the phone, the fax number listed does not work and they failed to deliver a Priority Mail package to my son.

The Elon Post Office does not move quickly enough for packages to be returned within an hour of an attempted delivery. I am sure my package is sitting in that post office and she was unwilling to even look to see if it was still at the location.

I've called for over an hour and all I get is a busy signal. We recently moved and all my mail has been late and that means MY BILLS have been late. I feel like the mail carrier is not doing their job properly and something needs to be done about this immediately!!! I can't afford for my bills to be late on someone else's behalf! This issues needs to be addressed!

Slow service, unreliable deliveries. Packages delayed for days with no explanation. Mail frequently delivered to the wrong address. And god forbid your job doesn't let you leave before 3 PM, because they always seem to be closed early. Staff is always brusque and bothered to be helping you.

If I could give this post office less than one star I would. First off, the post office was not able to find the address that the package was being delivered to even though it was the same address my roommate used and the same package delivery service. Second, when I spoke to someone at UPS they ensured me that all packages are held at the post office for a minimum of 2 days as that is protocol. The Elon post office apparently does not follow said protocol but the very unapologetic worker said that it would be kept for a few hours before returning to sender. Therefore, when the same issue occurred again I went to the post office less than an hour after they said my package was undelivered and it turns out she lied because she told me they'd already returned it completely going against what she had told me the day prior. Then when I asked to speak to the manager she said it doesn't matter because she would not be able to help me. She denied me the right to speak with her superior and did not once seem apologetic that no one was helping me. Instead, she was very rude, told me I could not speak to a superior and then did not apologize once for giving me false information and being unhelpful.
